Chondrex has recently developed three new arthritis models for the rapid screening and evaluating of potential therapeutics:

1)	Autoantibody-mediated arthritis induced by the intravenous injection of a cocktail made of four monoclonal antibodies to type II collagen (reference 5),
2)	Autoantibody-mediated, bacteria toxin-induced arthritis (reference 6), and
3)	Oral collagen-induced arthritis in addition to the authentic collagen-induced arthritis (reference 10).

Chondrex provides various contract and consulting services for screening and evaluating potential therapeutics using our in vitro screening systems in addition to these in vivo models above. We will assist researchers in establishing a variety of arthritis models in rodents and non-human primates as well as in vitro screening systems based on cell-cytokine interactions.

Chondrex also provides custom services upon request, such as purification of collagen and antibodies, serum antibody analysis for pre-clinical and clinical studies, and MMP activity assays, etc.
